Roomcast (the Roomcast app, sometimes called Roomcast AI) turns a photo of your real room into a redesign you can compare against what is there today. It runs on iPhone and on the web at getroomcast.com.
What Roomcast does
- Keep room layout restyles colors, finishes, textiles, lighting and decor while asking the AI to keep your walls, windows, doors and large furniture where they are.
- Creative redesign keeps the architecture and camera angle but may rearrange or replace freestanding furniture for a bolder idea.
- Six styles today: Modern, Scandinavian, Coastal, Japandi, Mid-Century and Boho.
- A before/after comparison of every result, saved in Projects in the iPhone app.
AI output can still make mistakes. Roomcast is a visual planning aid, not a measuring or CAD tool, so compare each result with your photo and measure before you move or buy anything.
Who makes it
Roomcast is built and run by a small independent app studio, Openverse. The same people answer support email, write the guides on this site and ship the app; there is no outsourced call center and no reseller.
How we write and test
- Prices and features of other apps are taken from their own App Store listings or pricing pages, with the date we checked them on the page. They change often, so confirm before you buy.
- We only call something a test result when we actually ran it. Comparisons say plainly which apps we have and have not tested ourselves.
- Room photos on this site are labeled: "before" photos are sample rooms, and every "after" shown as a Roomcast result was generated by Roomcast itself.
- We make Roomcast, so treat our comparisons as a vendor's view and run your own photo through any app you are considering.
Pricing, plainly
On the web you get 1 free watermarked preview a month with no account. In the iPhone app, Premium is Premium $4.99/week, $6.99/month or $29.99/year (US prices; weekly and yearly start with a 3-day free trial that includes 15 redesigns). Billing and cancellation go through your Apple Account.
